I had a dream about this girl i play volleyball with and she doesn’t like me at all. Basically we were playing volleyball at a pool and then the girl who doenst like me’s friend set and I jumped in the air and did a very hard spike but the set wasn’t for me and then I said good set like a mocking way. Then the girl that doesn’t like me was mad and she got her friend. then they tried to drown me and her friend was like “my record is 7.5 secodns” and then i came up for air after 8.5 seconds, she was pushing my body down with her foot. After that, I called her friend and said that she was a good player and that they could get better with practice but that they were good players. Then her friend yelled out to the girl who doesn’t like me and said “Nothing bad was said about you”. Then the girl who doesn’t like me yelled “i don’t give a fuck. say it to my face bitch” and you could hear her parents agreeing in the background. I was wearing earbuds and i took them off to show my mom what they were saying and my mom hung up and started lecturing me about “she’s always gonna be like that ignore her”
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and they can manifest our fears, desires, or conflicts in various scenarios. Here are some potential interpretations of the elements in your dream:
Conflict with the Girl: The central figure in your dream is the girl from volleyball who doesn’t like you. This may indicate unresolved feelings of tension or conflict in your waking life. You may feel misunderstood or judged by her, which is being played out in your dream as a way to process those emotions.
Volleyball at the Pool: The setting of a pool adds an element of playfulness but also vulnerability, as water can symbolize emotions. Volleyball, a competitive sport, indicates your desire for connection or validation among peers, as well as a feeling of being on display.
Mocking and Frustration: When you mockingly compliment the set, it might reflect feelings of sarcasm or frustration with communication in your relationships, perhaps expressing your desire to be recognized despite the negativity coming from others.
Drowning: The act of being drowned suggests feelings of being overwhelmed or suffocated, perhaps by negative interactions or emotions related to this girl or the broader social dynamics in your life. The mention of a specific time (7.5 seconds) could indicate a confrontation with limits—perhaps feeling like you have to hold your breath (or emotions) longer than you're comfortable with in social scenarios.
Parental Influence: Your mother appearing in the dream shows the importance of parental guidance in your life. Her lecturing about ignoring the other girl indicates a protective instinct and suggests that maybe you should not engage with negativity. This may point to your own struggle in deciding whether to confront or avoid conflict.
Resolution: The attempted dialogue at the end, where you compliment the girl’s friend and clarify there was no intention to offend, demonstrates a desire for peace and better relationships, highlighting your conflict-averse nature.
Overall, this dream seems to reflect your feelings of tension within your social circle, the fear of conflict, and possibly your longing for acceptance and understanding. The undercurrent of parental advice suggests that you might be seeking ways to navigate these complex social dynamics wisely.
